Course Description
Our PALS certification course is designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and process needed to assess and manage a child or infant suffering from a cardiopulmonary emergency. The course reflects on new science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. The goal of our PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
PALS Certification Course Content
- Learn about post-cardiac arrest management.
- Practice high-quality child CPR/ AED/ First Aid and infant CPR/ AED/ First Aid.
- Identify the early interventions for the treatment of shock.
- Identify the differentiation between respiratory distress and failure.
- Learn about the early interventions for respiratory distress and failure.
- Identify the clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias.
- Identify the recognition of patients who do/do not require immediate intervention.
- Identify the differentiation between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias.
- Identify the differentiation between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock.
- Identify the recognition of cardiopulmonary arrest early and application of CPR/ AED/ First Aid within 10 seconds.
